About Our Sponsor:
HOK
HOK is a design and professional services firm with more than 1,800 employees and 24 offices worldwide. According to World Architecture, Building Design & Construction, and ENR, HOK is the world's largest A/E firm, and according to Interior Design magazine, the nation's second largest interior design firm. Since founding in 1955, HOK has grown from a single office to an international organization. Today HOK maintains offices on four continents providing full service planning and design on a wide range of project types. Each of our regional offices maintains a diverse practice, but the primary focus is the design of office space for corporate and commercial clients.
HOK/San Francisco
HOK/San Francisco was established in 1966 and now provides a full range of design services including planning, engineering, building and interior design, and sustainability planning. The office has designed several of the Bay Area's landmark projects including Levi's Plaza, Fairmont Hotel, the original George R. Moscone Center, the Museum of Modern Art, the Asian Art Museum, and SBC Park.
Workplace Architect
Over the past 35 years HOK/SF has established a strong niche in development of the workplace environment. The office's diverse experience encompasses design and technical expertise in both low-rise campus and high-rise design for corporate, institutional and commercial clients. We understand both the commercial and corporate office markets, especially for technology companies. Our corporate campus work includes major Silicon Valley projects for companies such as Apple, Adobe, Cisco, Microsoft, Nortel, Novell, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard, Compaq, AT&T, Tokyo Telecom, Veritas, Palm, AMD, and IDEC.
The office is equally active in the design of mixed-use and commercial office buildings both low- and high-rise for developers that include Sares-Regis, Opus, Hines, Tishman-Speyer, Equity Office, Boston Properties, Beacon Properties, Tower Development, Ellis Partners and David Taylor Associates. Not surprisingly, the majority of these projects have targeted technology companies ranging from e-commerce and software engineering offices to telecom and incubator hotels and server farms.
