Women in FM

A panel of some of the top women in the industry share challenges and explore areas of personal and professional growth.

Topics will Include:

  • How they started in the industry and got to their current position

  • What experience education and credentials they have and advice for those starting out in Facilities

  • Changes they have seen as they have moved through their careers

  • The challenges of managing facilities where the environment is constantly changing and growing

  • How diversity of the workforce positively impacts organizations


 

SPEAKERS:

Ashleyanne Benham- Facility Manager @ Google

Ashleyanne is the facility manager for Google's global headquarters in Mountain View and an adjacent campus.  Prior to joining Google, Ashley gained FM experience from Roku and then Splunk, creating and implementing operating plans, managing the workplace strategy, and overseeing build outs like 500 Santana Row.

Away from work, you can probably catch her at a ballpark, either as a team mom for the local little league or up at Oracle Park (Go Giants!).

 

Lisa Soutter- Director of Workplace Services @ Chan Zuckerberg Initiative

Lisa Soutter is the Director of Real Estate, Facilities and Workplace for Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, where she is responsible for leasing, building and running the facilities operation. She spent the first 18 years of her career in hospitality, running five star hotels before she was recruited into property management at Equity Office Properties.

Lisa has worked with large tech companies such as Oracle, Netflix and Dropbox, building out offices globally, and servicing the population in all arenas of Workplace.

Lisa loves to cook and also enjoys camping and hiking in her off time. One of her favorite things to do is go off-roading in her Jeep Rubicon.

 

Ellie Cesario-Regional Facilities Manager West for CBRE @ Juniper Networks

Ellie has been an active IFMA-SV member for seven years and in Facilities for ten years.  She earned the FMP designation in 2013 and was the recipient of an IFMA-SV scholarship.  Her Facilities’ roles include Property Manager for Club Auto Sport, a business and event center in North San Jose, Facilities Manager for Cushman and Wakefield at Symantec for their Corporate Headquarters in Mountain View and she is currently the Regional Facilities Manager West for CBRE at Juniper Networks for Juniper’s Corporate Headquarters in Sunnyvale.  For the past four years she has served on the Board of IFMA-SV and was recently presented with the Distinguished Service Award aka Tom Jones Award for her contributions to this Chapter.
